Joe BartonHead Chef /Owner Joe is chef/owner of Casa Mia’s catering and take-out restaurant in the hill towns of western Albany County. His passion for food began at the early age of 11, when he discovered the neighborhood Italian restaurant, a mere block from his home. He quickly established a close relationship with the chef/owner, who welcomed his curiosity and interest in food preparation, volunteering countless hours learning whatever he could. Joe’s desire to continue in food service led to his first job as manager/baker of a new local endeavor, the first Upstate New York bagel shop. It was here that his current passion for baking breads, pastries and bagels really began. Over the years, family and friends, realizing his capabilities, began to call on him for their various catering needs. The rest is, as they say, history.
The current menu features Italian specialty dinners, as well as authentic pizza, award-winning wings and various signature sandwiches. The catering menu is quite extensive. Homemade breads, rolls and ever-changing weekly gourmet dessert selections are always available, highlighted by an extensive array of cheesecakes with a seasonal flair. |
